VEGETABLE AND FRUIT MARKET DAY

The Kindergarten wing of the School celebrated Fruits and Vegetable Market Day on 29 November 2024, with great enthusiasm. This engaging event aimed to educate the young minds about the significance of incorporating a variety of vegetables and seasonal fruits into their daily diet, promoting healthy eating habits and a balanced lifestyle.

The tiny tots transformed their classrooms into a vibrant market setup, showcasing an array of colorful fruits and vegetables. Through catchy songs, engaging stories, and conversations, they shared valuable insights into the nutritional benefits of various fruits and vegetables. The classrooms were adorned with creative buntings, drawings, and artwork featuring an assortment of fruits and vegetables.

The children participated in various activities, including drawing, colouring, and collage-making, under the guidance of their teachers. They also crafted innovative models of fruits and vegetables using sand, wool, cotton, onion peels, and coloured paper. The highlight of the event was the tiny tots taking on the role of greengrocers, enthusiastically displaying and selling their favourite fruits and vegetables at the mock market stalls. Through skits and short presentations, they emphasized the importance of saying 'NO' to junk food and 'YES' to a nutritious diet rich in fruits and vegetables.

The School Academic Director, Ms. Sruti Sainathuni, commended the students for their outstanding efforts and encouraged them to adopt a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables.The event was attended by the Honorary Correspondent, Mr. G.V. Bhaskar, the Principals, Mr. M. Mahesh and Mrs. J. Sasi Lakshmi, who congratulated the students on their impressive performance.
