The class III students conducted a presentation on “say NO to Plastic” on 28 September 2024. The venue, Babuji Hall, was adorned with informative posters, reflecting the importance of the subject.

Students participated in debate, dance, skits, demonstrations and mime shows. The whole presentation enumerated that the disposal of plastic waste poses a significant environmental challenge due to its non-biodegradable nature, leading to soil, air, and water pollution. While plastic is valued for its durability and low maintenance compared to other materials, its extensive use raises serious health concerns, including potential links to cancer from food stored in plastic containers. Despite its versatility and affordability in production, plastic takes long years to decompose, contributing to pollution and harming aquatic life when it ends up in water bodies.

To mitigate these issues, discussions on minimizing plastic usage are essential. They suggested that alternatives such as glass, steel, paper, cloth, or jute bags can help reduce reliance on plastic.  Ultimately, small lifestyle changes to decrease plastic use can significantly contribute to a more sustainable future. By collectively saying "NO" to plastic, we can work towards reducing its harmful impact on the environment.

The presentation successfully conveyed the importance of taking immediate action to protect our health and environment. Our Academic Director, Ms. Sruti Sainathuni commended the students for their splendid efforts in raising awareness about such a pressing global issue. The Honorary Correspondent, Mr. G. V. Bhaskar and the Principal, Mrs. J. Sasi Lakshmi witnessed the programme and congratulated the students for their wonderful presentation and thanked the parents.
