A visit to horticulture unit

On 29 November 2024, the field trip to the Andhra Pradesh Government Nursery and Horticulture at Kothapatnam proved to be a transformative experience for the Class V students. By venturing beyond the confines of their classroom, they gained a deep understanding of the intricacies of horticulture, from the initial stages of ploughing to the final stages of harvesting and marketing. This immersive experience not only deepened their knowledge of the subject but also instilled in them a sense of wonder, curiosity, and creativity.

Moreover, the trip provided a great opportunity for the students to develop essential life skills, including independent thinking, interpersonal communication, and practical problem-solving, ultimately enriching their educational journey. Speaking on the occasion, the Academic Director, Ms. Sruti Sainathuni said that such field trips help students to directly develop their knowledge by interacting with others. The Honorary Correspondent, Mr. G. V. Bhaskar, said that the field trip was a fun learning to conserve and promote biodiversity. The Principals, Mr. M. Mahesh and Mrs. J. Sasi Lakshmi lauded unending curiosity of students at the unit.
